1. What is Spytector Keylogger?
Spytector is an invisible surveillance program that records every keystroke (including passwords) to an encrypted log file. Besides the keystrokes, Spytector is tracking all the activities of PC users (visited websites, opened windows, applications etc.) and even retrieves the passwords stored in browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Vivaldi etc.).
Spytector keylogger allows you not only to monitor applications ran and websites visited but to restrict the access to them. It's possible to create filters and the specified applications and websites will be completely blocked.
The keylogger is absolutely invisible and undetectable on the user's desktop and cannot be seen in the task manager. More than that, by using advanced hooking and stealth techniques, Spytector keylogger can be used in the same time with most firewalls and antiviruses installed on your computer.
2. What is the purpose of the program?
There are many situations when you need to use an undetectable keylogger: you need to know what are your employees doing at work, you suspect someone may be misusing your PC, you need to know with who is your spouse chatting online, you need to know what websites are your kids visiting etc. Spytector keylogger is the best solution for these purposes, it runs completely invisible and undetectable, so no one except you will know it's running on the monitored computer.
3. On what platforms does Spytector Keylogger run?
Spytector is fully compatible with all the Windows operating systems versions in use (i.e. Windows 2k, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11) and works on both 32bit and 64bit.
4. How undetectable is the keylogger?
Spytector keylogger is the most undetectable keylogger you can buy on the Internet and we guarantee it's undetected when scanned with the following antivirus programs: Norton AV, Kaspersky AV, Malwarebytes, McAfee, AVG, Avast, Panda, TrendMicro. While the *full* version is undetected, the *trial* version (publicly available on our website's download section) is detected by all the AV programs so you should temporarily disable your AV for proper testing.
5. I lost my password. What should I do?
If you don't remember your password, you should delete a Registry key that belongs to Spytector. Use Regedit.exe (go to START -> RUN, type "Regedit.exe" and hit ENTER) to delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SpF". After that key is deleted, all the software settings are lost and you'll have the original settings when you run Spytector again.
6. How to install the keylogger?
Spytector usage is straightforward: configure the desired settings on the main Spytector program, build the "module", run the "module" with a regular doubleclick. You don't have to install it with "Run As Administrator", Spytector keylogger doesn't need administrator privileges.
7. How to uninstall the keylogger?
The easiest way to uninstall it is with the hotkey (the default hotkey is CTRL-SHIFT-F1). The hotkey uninstall option is enabled by default. The "module" can also uninstall itself after some logs are sent or by checking an Internet page.
8. I'm not sure it is working, is there a way I can find out?
The easiest way to check if the keylogger is running is to open Spytector and click "Retrieve Local Log" button and select "Automatically Retrieve The Logs". If the logs are found, it means the keylogger is installed. Of course, this method works only on the monitored computer (it doesn't work for remote computers).
9. How come nothing happens when I run the keylogger?
Spytector keylogger (the "module" file) is installing silently. Nothing visible happens if you didn't configure it to display a warning message.
10. How traceable are the emails sent by Spytector Keylogger?
Spytector Keylogger uses a direct connection to the mail server you've chosen. That is, it does not use your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird etc) to send the emails. No traces are left.
11. Can I use my free email account in Spytector?
The email feature can work with most email providers. By example, you can use a free Yahoo account on "Send Email From" and a Gmail account on "Send Email To". Of course, you'll receive the logs at the account configured on "Send Email To". The Yahoo's SMTP is smtp.mail.yahoo.com and the required port number is 465 (for SSL connections). Even if the keylogger can work with free email providers, it's better to use a paid-for email account. The paid accounts are more reliable and the risk to have your account blocked or the logs filtered is almost zero. The email accounts can be purchased from us or from other providers.
12. Does the keylogger work on any user account?
Yes! Unlike other keyloggers, Spytector can be installed on any account. It doesn't matter if the account is Administrator or Guest, the keylogger needs just a doubleclick to be installed.
13. Can I monitor all computers in my network?
Yes, with only 1 license you can monitor all your computers. Our licensing is per user, not per computer. To monitor multiple computers in a network you have to install the keylogger on any computer you intend to monitor.
14. Is Spytector Keylogger remotely deployable?
Spytector keylogger can be installed remotely. In the keyloggers world the "remote install" option means that you are able to send a single file to the machine that you need to monitor. By example, you can send the keylogger (the "module" file built by you from the main Spytector) by email from your home computer to your office computer. Of course, to install the keylogger you need to open the attachment and run the file (and the file will install silently). No keylogger can install itself on a remote machine without any user interaction on that machine. Also, if you want to install it via email, you should use email providers that accept programs attached (by example Yahoo).
15. Why am I not receiving the logs anymore?
There is a 3-log limit in the trial version. The "module" is automatically uninstalled after 3 logs are sent.
16. Is Spytector detected by antivirus programs?
Spytector is probably the most undetectable keylogger you can find on the Internet. We guarantee the full version of the keylogger is undetected when scanned with the following antiviruses: Norton AV, Kaspersky AV, Malwarebytes, McAfee, AVG, Avast, Panda, TrendMicro. There are 100s of such detection tools, we cannot test with all of them, it would be a tremendous work. Of course, the probability to be undetected when scanned by other antiviruses is big, but we cannot guarantee that.
17. Can Spytector slow down my computer?
Spytector doesn't need much memory or high processor speed, it runs fine even on old computers.
